Maya Ward is a writer, musician, dancer and public speaker who has worked for 30 years in deepening belonging and connection to place through writing, dancing, designing and teaching. Her memoir The Comfort of Water: A River Pilgrimage is an account of her 21-day journey from the sea to the source of the Yarra River, following the length of a Wurundjeri Songline. You'll be supporting artists from diverse cultural communities both financially and through engagement with their performances and encouraging people to become actively engaged with the arts, benefitting the individual, the community and the artists.
