The Boite presents Song Appetit with Paul Ah Chee Song Appetit relocates to the beautiful Bargoonga Nganjin library 6:30pm, Thursday 1 July 2021

The Boite’s Song Appetit series is about to kick off its new season with the comeback of legendary Alice Springs musician Paul Ah Chee.

Paul, of Wangkangurru, Yangkuntjarra and Arrernte (southern) heritage was the frontman of the acclaimed band Amunda, now disbanded, and has been away from the stage for over 20 years.

On his mind for more than 2 decades and in the works since 2019, Paul’s solo debut EP “Nowhere to hide” is due to be released this spring. It was produced by multiple Grammy-laureate Daniel Jauregui with contributions from artists in Alice Springs, Melbourne, Miami and South America. Daniel will also be joining him onstage for this intimate performance.

Song Appetit will be Paul’s first public performace since the album was recorded. It will offer an intimate glimpse into his new music, share the inspiration behind his comeback and explore themes around how relationships and collaboration can bring positive outcomes for the communities that we live and work in.

As usual in the Song Appetit series, dinner is part of the program, giving audience and artists an opportunity to mingle, connect and let the buzz of the performance linger in the atmosphere for a little bit longer.

This series will be held at the beautiful rooftop ˝Community Room” of Bargoonga Nganjin, Fitzroy North Library. This show is presented with support from Creative Victoria and the City of Yarra.
